Synopsis
Can innocence triumph over hatred in a world blinded by faith? A story about two young impressionable children whose ideas of faith are constantly challenged and changed as their small world expands to include the rapidly changing socio-political landscape of their country.
About the director
As a graduate of Berlinale Talents 2015, Shiladitya Bora was selected as a director to participate in the Kyoto Filmmakers Lab 2019, where he got the chance to direct a micro samurai short film. He made his directorial debut with the 17-minute short film “AAPKE AA JANE SE”, which was shown at more than 20 international film festivals. He was the first CEO of Drishyam Films, a global film studio known for films like DHANAK (Berlinale 2015), MASAAN (Cannes 2015) and NEWTON (India’s official entry for the Academy Awards 2017). He started his career with PVR Cinemas, India’s largest film distributor, and has successfully released more than 85 independent films.
