Last year, a short film that was launched at Snowdance and won the Audience Award made it all the way to be qualified for the Oscars. What a success for the filmmakers, the festival and above all for the Essen audience!
We are honoring this with a stylish opening ceremony with the now multi-award-winning film, two other internationally award-winning short films, feature film previews and lots of music. Dress code: Informal.
The following stars will be present: Valerie Niehaus, Nina Proll, Bernhard Bettermann, Julia Maria Köhler and Hayal Kaya. The boys from “Washing the big Lady” provide the necessary rock’n roll.
