By 11. December 2023December 28th, 2023No Comments

The Snowdance Independent Film Festival and WAZ have announced a competition for the best film from the Ruhr region in the last two years.

It can be either documentary or feature. It can be a short film (maximum 25 minutes) or a feature-length film (60 minutes or more).

The submission criteria were: The film must have a connection to the Ruhr region, i.e. at least 50% of it must have been shot in the Ruhr region and/or at least 50% of it must be set in the Ruhr region and/or the majority of the team must come from the Ruhr region. The film must not be older than 2 years. The film does not necessarily have to have been produced “independently”.

On Wednesday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m., Snowdance and WAZ will present the finalists of this competition at the ASTRA cinema and name the winner. It will be very exciting – I promise!

Date: Wednesday, January 31, 2024

One of the feature-length films already nominated for the award is the latest work by indie filmmaker Alexander Waldhelm, “Darf ich das so schreiben?”, which will be shown in its world premiere on Tuesday, January 30 at 8 p.m. in the Lichtburg.
